When Grace Nolan jumped in her friend’s car to attend a hacker Conference, Kiwicon in Wellington many years ago, she didn’t realise it would be the start of her career in tech.

Fast forward 6 years and she’s presenting on the history of lock-picking in front of thousands of people at the same conference.

Grace completed a degree in computer science and has undertaken a range of positions in relevant fields including as a systems developer for an internet company in Christchurch. She started speaking at cyber-security conferences, and realised that security was her passion and next came Google!

Grace enjoys presenting and guiding women looking to try something new through their options by:

  • the simple art of saying yes and trying new things
  • reading about topics that inspire you, not topics about what you do and
  • embracing a range of opportunities that allows her to “stay curious and go places.”
