Better technology needs to be created by people with different experiences from all over the world and by people and teams that reflect society as a whole.

Encouraging women into technology creates diversity of thought, leading to better problem-solving, resulting in better tech products.

Women continue to be significantly underrepresented in Australia’s technology workforce, with only 29%* of women in technology occupations in 2020. A statistic that has remained virtually unchanged from previous years.

“Since 2015, female representation in technology occupations has grown by 0.75% on average every year.”*

Digital Futures events aspire to encourage more Territory women to take up digital careers.
