The Water Monitoring Group within the Division delivers a number of monitoring programs specific to activities undertaken by the Division which include:
- Flood Monitoring
- Water Allocation Planning
- Aquatic Health Monitoring
The Division is also responsible for maintaining data of the Territory's Rivers, Rainfall and Groundwater that spans more than half a century.
