A joint initiative with the ICT Industry Association of NT (ICTNT) and the Northern (NT) Government is helping young Territorians into digital careers to grow the Territory’s digital capacity.
The pilot Cross Sector ICT Traineeship Program recently commenced with the first cohort of trainees employed by New Future IT, NEC and Kinetic IT.
With $230,000 allocated, the program aims to help young Territorians start their digital careers with a local digital business.
The funding supports local businesses investing in training initiatives to develop Territory talent.
Under the program, trainees will also undertake a 3 month in-house placement with the NT Government.

This announcement relates to the supporting the local digital industry with trial of a new cross-sector digital traineeship program action from the Digital Territory Action Plan 2022-23.
