Construction workers can now get a digital version of their official Northern Territory (NT) white card saved to their smartphone.
Territory construction workers are required to have an NT white card to show they have undertaken the required training in order to work on a construction site.
Applicants receive a physical copy of their ‘NT white card’ however smartphone users can now also opt in for a digital version of the card that can be delivered to their phones ‘wallet’.
These changes do not compromise safety, and the strict training requirements to qualify for a white card in the Territory have not changed.
