Provide mobile access to client information for Territory Families field-based staff.

Overview

Deployment of 320 tablets and smartphones has been completed for Child Protection Frontline staff to access information about clients in the field.

Progressing planning of tables and smartphones to Youth Justice staff by September.

Development of digital forms so staff can enter information on their devices will be piloted when an all of government digital forms solution is implemented.

Benefits

Portable access will ensure child protection and youth justice staff have immediate access to client information when are where they need it.

2020 progress update

Territory Families commenced deployment of tablets to Youth Justice frontline staff in early 2020.  Currently the devices are undergoing configuration and allocation.

Digitisation of forms for data capturing will see important hard copy forms transitioned to electronic forms later in 2020. Following the deployment of tablets to child protection staff,
significant improvement in data capturing and access to core NTG systems has been experienced.

Staff working remotely or interstate are able to upload their notes directly into the CCIS application and the allocation of iPhones to frontline staff has improved communication and access to information.
