Dedicated STEM and STEAM Centres of Excellence have been set up in Darwin High School, Centralian Senior College and Taminmin College. The Centres of Excellence are providing students with the skills needed to live and work in the 21st century.

The program will be supplemented with infrastructure works at Darwin High School in 2019.

More and more jobs are including digital capability, requiring workers to have a new set of foundational skills in order to be competitive and succeed.
Territory schools are addressing this paradigm shift to STEAM skills for students and encouraging students to focus on digital careers.
