Overview
In partnership with the University of Melbourne, the NT 'Preschool STEM Games' support preschool teachers to deliver STEM-based learning in a fun and engaging way. Identified as part of the 'STEM in the Territory Strategy', these games are designed to develop children's transferable, STEM thinking skills using everyday materials.
Benefits
The games support the building of curiosity for science in early childhood learning and provide opportunities for children to explore these concepts in line with their particular interests.
The games will assist to provide the foundational skills for STEM studies in later years of schooling.
2020 progress update
The Preschool Science Games have been made available for use by all NT schools and can be embedded within learning programs to support the building of curiosity for science in early childhood.
