A new position for an associate professor in cyber security was created at Charles Darwin University in 2018, funded through a NT Government grant.
Overview
The position enables postgraduate courses in cyber security to be offered at the university, enhancing the NT's ability to participate in the cyber security industry.
Cyber security skills are in growing demand and this initiative will develop students for future jobs in this field.

Specialist cyber skills, capabilities and knowledge can be developed locally through dedicated cyber security programs and qualifications that are now being offered.
The additional courses offered will benefit local students and potentially attract international students to the NT.
