Initiative
Industry Buildskills Program (IBP) is funded by the NT Government to support the upskilling and reskilling of existing workers in occupations and/or industry sectors affected by significant change.
Overview
Up to 50 ICT professionals from the NT are going through the program, gaining Advanced Diplomas in either ICT Project Management or ICT Business Systems Analysis.
Benefits
This program will upskill existing ICT workers.
These skills are both listed on the NT Skilled Occupation Priority List, and there are currently occupational shortages, so this program will fill those shortages.
2020 progress update
The Industry Skills Advisory Council Northern Territory (ISACNT) are delivering two Industry Build Skills programs across seven companies in Alice Springs and Darwin. The program aims to fill the skilled occupation priority gap identified in the NT and is a progressive step in the NT’s digital transformation.
