Establish a text-based chatbot to assist Motor Vehicle Registry staff in answering customer queries.
The chatbot is programmed by loading relevant questions and answers and then uses this knowledge to respond to questions entered by staff.
Benefits
The chatbot will allow staff to provide faster responses to customer queries.
2020 progress update
A chatbot Proof-of-Concept (PoC) was completed in 2019 to better understand the viability of a text-based chatbot. Planning commenced in early 2020 to progress the chatbot implementation for MVR staff.
Update June 2021
A pilot of the chatbot for MVR was completed and tested with staff, highlight some key learnings for the NTG. The MVR are focussed on other customer channels currently.
