Initiative

Bring digital industry participants together to identify priority issues for the local digital industry and find approaches that will boost growth opportunities.

Overview

The Office of Digital Government will bring digital industry participants together for the first time in 2018-19 to identify priority issues and canvass approaches to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

The local digital industry is diverse, covering digital entrepreneurs, micro businesses and start-up entities, as well as mainstream ICT companies and international suppliers. Business issues are similarly diverse and warrant consideration across the sector.

Benefits

The local digital sector is made up of more than 300 businesses across the Territory. It is important that all digital businesses can participate and contribute to industry development.

This initiative provides an avenue for issues and opportunities across the sector to be considered, ensuring that all local digital businesses are able to benefit from any policy or service changes.

Finding ways to grow the digital industry benefits the overall Territory economy.
